Alawwa Pradeshiya Sabha

The Institutional Section handles the core administrative functions of the Sabha, including Maha Sabha meeting coordination, minute-keeping, establishment matters, staff administration, correspondence, and the implementation of council resolutions. It acts as the central coordinating point between the public, elected members, and council staff.

The Accounts Section is responsible for the financial management of the Sabha budget preparation, payment processing, payroll, procurement financing, performing audit and maintaining financial records. The section also ensures compliance with government audit and financial regulations, and supports the annual budget estimate process.

The Revenue Section manages the collection of rates and taxes, trade & business licenses, lease rentals, and other statutory income of the council. This section also processes online and counter payments and issues assessment notices, receipts and clearance certificates to the public.

The Community Development Section plans and implements welfare programs, community infrastructure projects, samurdhi coordination, health & sanitation initiatives, and social development activities aimed at improving the quality of life within the Alawwa Pradeshiya Sabha area.

The Technical Section oversees road construction & maintenance, Technical Stuff related to GIS, building plan approvals, infrastructure development projects, and engineering estimates within council limits. The section ensures that all development activities meet required planning and safety standards.
